About Steel Building Kits
The types of pole building kits we offer are frequently called “steel buildings” - depending upon what area of the country you are from. Because both the siding and the roofing are steel, many
people have grown accustomed to using this term to describe the farm buildings and garage buildings they see. However, there are really two types of buildings that are both thought of as steel buildings but differ depending on the structural framework of the building. Some manufacturers sell steel building kits that
are constructed |
with steel posts; we sell steel building kits that are constructed on a frame of wood fabricated posts. This method of construction is either called "pole building" or "post frame building".
The picture to the right (click to enlarge) will give you a great visual of a post frame structure before the steel is added.
