We often get calls from potential customers with inquiries about “metal buildings”. This term can cause confusion because there are two types of buildings that are both referred to as metal buildings. The difference? The barn buildings and storage buildings you see as you drive around may be constructed with metal posts OR they maybe be constructed on a wooden post frame with wooden roof trusses (click picture below to enlarge).

Both feature metal roofing materials and metal siding so both types of construction have a metal appearance. APM Buildings manufactures both the posts (Tuff-Post®) and the trusses (APM Truss®) at our facility in Arendtsville, PA. By cutting out a few middle men we are able to deliver a metal building kit with top-notch materials often well below the price offered by our competitors.
